There are effective ways to maintain the bladder health -
- Manage fluids and Food Intake
Drinking lots of fluid is good for health, but too much can make bladder problems worse. It depends on your health your activities and how much you need to drink.
For the ones who get up several times at night to urinate-
* Try to drink more fluids in the morning and afternoon and avoid at night. Make sure to stop drinking a few hours before bedtime.
*Limit caffeine, such as tea, cola, and coffee as they can cause you to urinate more.
Too little fluid
Less fluid can cause waste products to build up in urine. This causes urine to be dark yellow with a strong smell and can irritate the bladder and increase the need to go.
2.Try Bladder Training
This involves changing habits which means going to the toilet at set times, even though there’s no urge to urinate. Keep a note for a few days and jot down the time you urinate. Try to wait longer before urinating and increase the time slowly.
3.Strengthen your pelvic floor
Do pelvic floor muscles exercise that help control urinating. These muscles open and close the tube, known as the urethra that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. Thus, regularly do Kegal exercises.
4.Maintain healthy weight
Being overweight can affect bladder control. This puts more pressure on the stomach and bladder. It causes leaking, hence loss of weight.
- Avoid Constipation
To avoid constipation take high-fiber foods such as lentils, beans, vegetables, and fruits, drink enough water and exercise more.
This takes time and practice, but if you stick to your plan you can succeed in your approach. Get in touch with Gynaecologist in Agra Dr. Anushree Rawat and give a kick start to your new lifestyle.
